BUILDING #THEOXFORDBARNPROJECT

In 2019 we took on the most exciting project since moving to the UK. Converting a 47 metre 5 bedroom 19th century heritage barn into a high end 5 bedroom home in the beautiful village of Benson, Oxfordshire.

Taking on the role of project contractors, joint designers, and heading up every element of the construction, we at the Aartvark Collective Ltd, had the chance to showcase every aspect of our portfolio and experience and we genuinely couldn’t have been more excited and grateful to our clients for taking the leap of faith with Cobus and the team. One of our favourite quotes is “nothing great is achieved without an element of risk”, and I think every client does this when handing over their dream build to a bunch of builders!

We have been so busy building and running the office that we haven’t had a lot of time to record the build… but we will. So please come back to this page in a couple of weeks as this life defining project has been a total adventure, with some outstanding feats of engineering and carpentry, and we want to share all of it with you.
