This particular curved door was apart of the Oxford Barn Project. The Internal frames are built out of Oak and Sepele on the edges, Oak on the face and a variety of Brazilian hardwoods inside.

Cobus' comments:

“We tried to look for options on curved doors from manufacturers, but in the end we just decided to make exactly what we needed, onsite. So many things could have gone wrong. If one door had a slight twist in it, they wont close properly. All the lines had to line up both sides. Then finally I had to install the self-closing pivots into concrete, and if this wasn't perfect all my other efforts were for nothing. While I was making them I thought round handles would be the go, so I made these just after the doors to let my brain rest a bit. The gap between doors has a fire seal in to seal it off nicely. They are also sound insulated as this is the TV room.”
